We're not expecting an e-mail from Melissa this week but had an even better treat: Melissa was able to call us this morning from the Salt Lake City airport as she was waiting for her flight to Cleveland! It was WONDERFUL to talk to her. She sounded so happy and excited about the prospect of being a real missionary out in the field. She loved her Visitors' Center training during this past week and is thinking that it is the perfect mission assignment.
Thanks to those of you who work or volunteer in the MTC and kept tabs on her -- she loved her time there. She was so happy to see Eric for a few minutes last night at the MTC and to chat with her other brothers (and parents) this morning. Rumor has it that she mailed a CD of photos home, so I'll put some of those up when they arrive.
We're looking forward to having her back in the Eastern Time Zone and only a day or two away by mail! If anyone is heading along I-90 in this part of the country, be sure to drop in to Kirtland and say 'hi'!
