Don't blink or you'll miss something

Well another week gone. It's been a good week. Things with Sister Debenham are going fine. We have a lot of fun together, work hard, and we're beginning to have some success. Slowly. And by that I mean people are willing to make appointments and keep appointments with us, haha. It's amazing. Small little miracles are beginning to happen. Some of our biggest focuses right now are on a part member family, and a couple of investigators that are finally calling us back and making appointments. It's the little things that get us excited.

Well the subject line is in relation to April. Last email I told you she was coming in the next day. Well, she left yesterday. haha. It's really unfair actually. Her visa apparently came one day after she did! Sister Reed (the other visa waiter who was going to Spain) was here two full months before she left! Everyone was shocked--and I mean everyone! President wasn't too thrilled by it either haha. But it was really great to get to see her. April was really torn about leaving. REALLY torn. She was thrilled to be able to come to Kirtland, and had planned on being here quite a while...not less than a week. We talked for a little bit about it and the reasoning, and the best we can come up with is that the Lord really has a reason for everything, even though we have no idea why. It's definitely too much of a "coincidence" to be one. I told her that I think she was sent here for me, because I really needed a pick-me-up and that was exactly what I needed. Although I would not have objected to her staying longer :) But we did get to see each other for a few hours (and yes, a picture haha) but now she is in Spain.

Okay, to answer some questions. The Chardon Branch is not very big, but they love to say they are the best branch in the whole world. There are no elders serving in the branch, but there are two sets of sisters and two sets of senior couples. I LOVE the Chardon West sisters that are serving in our branch. One of them is named Sister Krista Carter. We have a LOT in common. It's pretty freakish. She's even in the nursing program at BYU! She goes home at the end of next transfer, and I'm sad about that because she's probably the one I've grown closest to here on my mission, second only to Sister Hansen. But she'll actually graduate a semester after me because she only did her first semester before going on her mission.  The other sister is a greenie. Her name is Sister Lyman, and she is from North Carolina. Actually, she is very good friends with Bethany Daniel and they were even roommates Freshman year! "It's a small world after all..."

Alright, brothers. You need to take a look at the picture Mom sent me of you three with G&G Watson. HOLY COW! Scott--I'm not surprised someone came up to you on campus and said you had to be related to Eric. I'm just surprised they didn't think you were his twin! Goodness!! It's like looking in a mirror! Well, not ME looking in a mirror, more like you in a mirror. haha. And Craig, did you grow again?! Already?! come on boy! It's only been 3 months since I've seen you, STOP IT! just kidding :)

Well family, I love you so much. I hope things continue to go well. Thanks so much for supporting me and praying for me and writing me and thinking of me often. I have the best family of anyone I know :) :) :)

LOVE YOU,
Sister Maughan
