whew. new week.

I've made a decision. Some weeks you have as a missionary are there solely so you can appreciate the beauty of other weeks. This was definitely one of those weeks. It was not the greatest of my mission, but I also have to say it was not the worst either! Nick has officially moved to Strongsville. Ben has read almost half of the entire Book of Mormon in just a week and continues to pray every day, but he is struggling to recognize answer to his prayers. After meeting with him, it's clear he is struggling with real intent, so we are trying to teach that to him. All the rest of our investigators are being less than cooperative, to say the least. So this week we did a lot of finding: stopping by potentials, visiting formers, working with members, tracting, etc. We have some success so hopefully we'll catch a break soon. Until then, it's patience-building time!

Dad, I have to admit that I was very surprised when I looked in my mail box and saw a post card from Cleveland!! That day you sent it, I was actually in Cleveland! We were just a few miles from each other...that is a very weird thought haha. And I had no idea you were hiking McKinley! I guess you won't be getting this email for a while then, but I hope that things go well! I'll be praying for your safety, but have an amazing time! What a cool opportunity.

Well, I'm sorry this email is kind of short and lame. It's just been a draining week. But before I leave, I wanted to share a quote. It's a quote from the family missionary quote book  (I swear I'll send it to you sometime this summer Scott!) but it's from Neal A. Maxwell. "The Lord doesn't ask about our ability. He asks about our availability. Then when we prove our dependability, He will increase our capability". I have a quote or scripture that I make my theme for each transfer and I put it in the front of my planner, and this quote is for this transfer #8. I just really loved that.

Love you all!  Have a great last full week of May!
Love,
Sister Maughan
